A dash cam, or dashboard camera, is a small video camera mounted to the dashboard of a vehicle to record its movements and environment. Dash cams are increasingly popular among drivers as an extra layer of protection in the event of an accident or another incident while driving. They can be used to provide evidence in the event of a dispute, or simply to document an interesting journey.
